What happens to my money if I cancel my CST Advantage Plan?

When you sign up for a plan with us, you have 60 days to change your mind and receive back all of your money (excluding any optional life and disability insurance premiums; these are non-refundable). If you cancel your plan after 60 days, you will get back your principal (contributions less sales charges and fees). Government grants received in your RESP will be returned to the government. Unless you qualify for an accumulated income payment, you would also forego any earnings on the plan as these will be added into the Education Assistance Payment account and later distributed to those students who are expected to start their post-secondary education in the same year as your child and who remain in the CST Advantage Plan until they turn 18 (the Plan’s date of maturity).
