The Ombudsman for Banking Services and Investments ("OBSI")

The OBSI offers a free, independent dispute resolution service for consumers who feel their concerns or complaints have not been satisfactorily resolved or addressed.

Please note that your complaint must be filed in writing within 180 days of receiving your response from our Complaints Handling group. The OBSI is best able to assist you if you provide all relevant information, including your name and contact information, our firm’s name and contact information, details of the complaint and all relevant documents (including correspondence and any notes) to support how your complaint has not been resolved to your satisfaction.

If you live in Québec, you can request for your file to be transferred to the AMF. The AMF will study the file and may recommend mediation to reach a settlement.
