How to apply

We make it easy to apply for government grants

When you open your plan, simply provide Social Insurance Numbers (SINs) for you and the child you’re opening a plan for and your Sales Representative will complete the necessary forms with you.

We’ll submit the paperwork to register your plan with the government and any grants you qualify for will be deposited directly into your child's plan.

Don’t have a SIN for your child yet?

The government requires a Social Insurance Number (SIN) to register your plan so that you can start receiving government grants.

If you haven’t applied for your child’s SIN yet, go here to find out how, or visit your local Service Canada office.

You have up to 12 months from the time you open your plan to give us a SIN for your child, otherwise we may have to close your plan - don’t delay!
