Did you know?
To promote the CST Plan in early years, our founders focused on charitable work and media exposure, financing a student loan project, two scholarships and a library.
In 1961, the cost of attending university in Canada (including tuition and expenses) was estimated at between $1,300 and $1,500 a year.
Our first education assistance payment in 1972 was $750.
In 1982, roughly 80 percent of CST beneficiaries graduated from college or university, compared with the national average of 68 percent.
What our families have to say
"I know at least one person for whom this plan made the difference between a university education or nothing."
Kenneth McLean
"I could never have made it through university without CST. It was one of the more brilliant investments my parents ever made and that I will make, too."
Ann Peel
"My parents had the foresight to subscribe to a CST Plan and that’s how I was able to afford a university education. When I had my own kids, I didn’t hesitate to do the same for each one of them. I like knowing that my children will have the money they need for their post-secondary education, whatever the economic circumstances may be when they’re ready for school."
Mike Rand
"Canadian Scholarship Trust Plans are a safe and effective way to save for post-secondary school. Our three children have all graduated now, and when my grandson was born recently, one of my first calls was to my C.S.T. Consultants representative to set up a plan for him too."
Seymour Moskovitz
"As a medical researcher who spent 13 years in training, I understand the financial challenges students encounter. I’ve seen many colleagues abandon their dreams due to the escalating costs of their education. We’re confident that investing in a Canadian Scholarship Trust Plan will be one of the best decisions we’ve ever made for our daughter."
